A Bali Abode

A couple of weeks ago Tim said to me, "By April 1 if we haven't had any more job leads, let's move to Bali for a year. You can be a yoga teacher, and I can be a chef and a part-time underwear model." I though my husband had lost his mind. Really? Yoga, cooking, modeling? Hum...not likely. April 1 is not far away. And I just saw the pictures of our friend's new house in Bali. And I'm seriously thinking we should just pack up a couple of suitcases to ride out this bad economy. How adorable is this house? It's rainy season there right now, which is a pain, but it's Bali, and they surf in the afternoons. Am I tempted? VERY. Am I delusional because I haven't had sugar since I gave up sweets for Lent? Probably. Is this house dreamy? YES.

Inspired like me? You can read about how to pack up your life, and move to Bali on a whim on Kaelen's blog here: Make Shift Life. (Thanks for the pics K, your life is so NOT makeshift!)

I'm glad everyone liked this as much as me!!! It's SOOOooo tempting..I'm trying to stay focused on Houston but it's hard when you have good friends in Bali asking you to come back! :)

If you have nothing tying you here, I say you should absolutely go for it! I swear, I think this economic downtime is really a blessing in disguise for people to do the things they wouldn't normally pursue. Do it, do it! You'd never regret it.

Thanks Vanessa! If we hadn't just spent most of our savings traveling around the world for 5 months, I'd be there in 2 seconds flat! So...we'll have to just figure it out! Thanks for your encouragement!

Living in Bali sounds dreamy. The house looks fantastic. Obviously your income would be tiny, but so would the cost of living.

Anna, you should look at my money post on Bali!

You're right...the money is slightly inflated! Ha!

wow meg, thanks for featuring my house!! i seriously love living in this place - it is quiet, private, and i can literally just take a step out of the living room and be in the pool. my housemate linda did all the interiors, so i can't take the credit, but she did a fantastic job, didn't she?

Tim would make millions (of rupiah) here as an underwear model. Come back, come back!!
